Apex Law Group’s Peter Smith has been named to the 2017 Washington Rising Stars list for the third year in a row! He was recognized for his work in business/corporate Law.
Super Lawyers is a rating service which recognizes attorneys for their professional achievements. Every year, Super Lawyers releases the Rising Stars List following a thorough selection process. First, a candidate is nominated in one of three ways: through the research process conducted by Super Lawyers or by nomination. Second, the research department considers each lawyer’s experience, honors/awards, verdicts/settlements and more. Third, a panel conducts peer review and consider the research department’s findings, and finally the top candidates are chosen and published in Super Lawyer’s Magazine.
Peter’s practice includes corporate transactions and dispute resolution. Specifically, Peter focuses on providing enterprises with counsel and advice for a variety of issues surrounding business start-up. His experience includes advising nonprofits, for-profits and the especially interesting formation of businesses seeking to make a social impact like those operating or forming social purpose corporations. This year, Peter provided many enterprises with counsel for a variety of issues surrounding business start-up, including conflicts of interest policy and business disputes.
